FDYD-28M — Mobile Welding Fume Extractors
The FAON FDYD-28M is a mobile welding fume extractor built for single-station welding, cutting and grinding. Mounted on heavy-duty lockable castors with a push handle, it rolls straight to the job — no ductwork, no installation, no heat loss from extracting air outdoors.
Fume is captured at source through a 360° flexible extraction arm before it reaches the operator’s breathing zone. Air then passes through a multi-stage filter system using imported flame-retardant coated cartridge media, delivering 0.3 μm filtration accuracy and ≥99.9% efficiency at 0.3 μm.
The 2.2+0.8 = 3.0 kW motor runs on 380 V / 50 Hz and moves 2800 m³/h of air, with 10 m² of filter media to spread the dust load and extend service intervals. Cartridge cleaning is automatic pulse-jet, and the built-in compressor means no site air supply is required.
