Wall Mounted Welding Fume Extractor 2000–2500 m³/h, Automatic – FAON FDGQ-20Z

FAON FDGQ-20Z — 2.2 kW motor, 2000–2500 m³/h airflow and 0.3 μm filtration. Built for welding bays where floor space cannot be given up.

Features

  • AHLSTROM nano flame-retardant coated filter media, 23 m²
  • 0.3 μm filtration, ≥99.9% efficiency
  • Automatic filter cleaning
  • Wall or column mounted — zero floor footprint
  • 3 m flexible extraction arm reaches over the bench

FDGQ-20Z — Wall Mounted Welding Fume Extractors

The FAON FDGQ-20Z is a wall mounted welding fume extractor for workstations where floor space is at a premium. Mounted on a wall or column it takes zero floor area, so walkways, cranes and part flow stay clear.

A flexible extraction arm reaches the arc and captures fume at source, while imported AHLSTROM nano flame-retardant coating cartridge filters down to 0.3 μm at ≥99.9% efficiency at 0.3 μm. Filter area is 23 m² and cleaning is automatic.

The 2.2 kW fan runs on 380 V / 50 Hz and moves 2000–2500 m³/h, with a low noise level of 75±3 dBA. Air is recirculated into the workshop, avoiding heat loss.

Key features

  • 2.2 kW motor delivering 2000–2500 m³/h airflow
  • Imported AHLSTROM nano flame-retardant coating
  • Filter area 23 m²
  • Automatic filter cleaning
  • Wall or column mounting takes zero floor area; optional second arm covers two adjacent stations

Typical applications

Space-constrained welding bays, production lines, cellular manufacturing, maintenance workshops and training schools where a mobile or cabinet unit will not fit.

  • Manual-clean units have no compressed-air requirement and a lower purchase cost — ideal for intermittent welding. Pulse-clean models automatically reverse-jet the cartridge, so they run continuously with far less maintenance.

  • Do I need to duct it outside?

No. Once filtered, the air can be returned to the workshop, which avoids losing heated air in winter.

  • The cartridge media is rated for 0.3 μm particles, the fine fraction that carries most welding fume risk. Test reports are available on request.

Need help selecting?

Send us your workshop layout, dust or fume type and airflow target — our engineers will size the right unit, including ductwork and multi-station systems, and return a selection drawing.

  • Can it be used for stainless steel and galvanised welding?

Yes. High-alloy and coated steels produce the most hazardous fume (hexavalent chromium, nickel, zinc oxide), so at-source capture plus 0.3 μm filtration is exactly the right approach.
